Messaging Overview

TalaTalk’s messaging system allows teachers to communicate directly with parents and students through and real-time messaging. Access messaging from: Messages Tab

Starting a New Conversation

Navigate to Messages

Tap the Messages tab in the bottom navigation

Start New Conversation

Tap the ”+” or “New Message” button

Select Recipient

Choose who to message:
  • Individual Parent
  • Select from classroom parent list
  • Choose from recent contacts

Compose Message

Write your message:

Send Message

Tap “Send” to deliver your messageRecipients will receive instant notifications.

Text Messages

  • Simple text communication

Voice Messages

Start Voice Recording

Tap and hold the microphone icon to start recording

Record Message

Speak your message while holding the microphone button

Review Recording

Release the button to stop recording and review your message

Send or Cancel

Tap “Send” to deliver the voice message or “Cancel” to delete it

Managing Conversations

Conversation List

The Messages tab shows all your conversations:
  • Recent messages and conversations
  • Unread message indicators
  • Message preview and timestamps
  • Contact information and avatars
  • Conversation status and priority

Conversation Management

Open Conversation

Tap on a conversation to open the message thread

View Message History

Scroll through the conversation history to see all messages

Reply to Message

Tap “Reply” to respond to a specific message or start typing in the message box

Manage Conversation

Use conversation options:
  • Mark as read/unread
  • Archive conversation
  • Mute notifications
  • Delete conversation
  • Block or report user
